Barrie's sailing career: three times National Champion in Mirror 16 dinghy class (see page on Puff). Five times Commodore of Slaughden Sailing Club in Suffolk and member of Orford Sailing Club.

Also a keen sailor on cruising boats and Royal Yachting Association racing coach and powerboat instructor. Sailing was a lifetime passion for him, starting as a young boy and always encouraging others to enjoy the sport. These words only hint at his love for the water.
